Biodata

Dr. Sam Jeng Mun is a Registered Clinical Psychologist (MAHPC(CP)00091) and a senior lecturer with over 10 years of clinical experience. She previously served as the Honorary Assistant Secretary of the Malaysian Society of Clinical Psychologists (2017–2019) and has worked in both private and government healthcare settings as part of multidisciplinary teams.

Dr. Sam works with children, teenagers, and adults, providing psychological assessments, diagnoses, and evidence-based treatments. She supports individuals dealing with common mental health concerns such as depression, anxiety, and stress, as well as developmental conditions like autism, ADHD, and intellectual difficulties. She also helps clients navigate challenges such as learning difficulties, school refusal, low self-esteem, parenting concerns, social or communication issues, and transitional life events.

In her private practice, Dr. Sam offers a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space for clients to explore their experiences. She primarily uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), while also drawing from other therapeutic models—such as family systems therapy—depending on what best fits her clients’ needs.

Beyond her clinical work, Dr. Sam is passionate about raising mental health awareness. She frequently collaborates with corporate partners, NGOs, and universities to deliver talks, workshops, and community projects focused on improving mental health literacy and access to care.
