Grace completed her Masters in Clinical Psychology from HELP University, Malaysia. She completed her Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Psychology from International Medical University, Malaysia with first class honours and was awarded with her academic excellence for being the top student in the Dean’s List.
Grace’s clinical training extends to a variety of settings including government hospital, private health centres, and non-governmental organizations. As such, she has worked with wide spectrum of clients from diverse backgrounds and populations. Her work experience has given her opportunities to work with professional working adults, children and adolescents with special needs, young adults, the elderly, and the minorities including refugees, migrants, and victims of abuse.
Grace has effectively managed variety of clinical cases including depression, social anxiety, panic disorders, obsessive-compulsive and post-traumatic stress disorders, borderline personality disorder, as well as learning and behavioural disorders. Grace has also provided psychological interventions for individuals experiencing chronic epilepsy, grief, family and relational issues, and substance abuse recovery. Moreover, she has collaborated with other professionals in case managements and referrals including psychiatrists, lawyers, and educators.
Her main therapeutic orientations include Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), and Humanistic-Existential approaches. Nevertheless, she practices an integrative form of psychotherapy adapting to the unique needs of her clients. She believes the importance of compassion and kindness towards oneself and others as part of the healing process to conquer difficult emotions and situations.
Grace is a dedicated clinical psychologist who is passionate to walk alongside with individuals facing difficult times in the journey of life with the goal of relieving their pain through self-discovery, healing, change, and help them to learn to live to their fullest potential. On top of that, her desire to promote mental health awareness and well-being among younger generations sparks her aspiration to expand her expertise in the educational field.
