Biodata

Bryan is a Clinical Psychologist with over 5 years of experience in psychological practice, including supervised clinical training. His work is primarily centred on clinical practice, being skilled in assessing for neurodevelopment disorders e.g. IQ, ADHD & ASD across later childhood to adults, and providing psychotherapy to clients across the lifespan from later adolescence to geriatrics.

Alongside this, he is actively lecturing in Psychology to undergraduate students for the past 4 years. This dual engagement in both practice and academia allows him to integrate theoretical knowledge with real-world clinical insight – ensuring his work is grounded in everyday reality. Earlier in his career, he also had a 2-year stint in Human Resources, which further informs his understanding of workplace dynamic, stress & organisational environments. His engagement with the corporate sector continues in the form of delivering mental health talks from time-to-time, and providing EAP services too.

Bryan’s therapeutic approach in grounded in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), where the focus is on managing clinical symptoms, leaning towards a more problem-focused approach. He is also experienced in providing medium to long-term therapy, utilise elements from other evidence-based models to address the complexity and uniqueness of each individual’s lived experience.

Central to his practice is an emphasis on warmth, compassion, openness, and authenticity. He believes that therapy is a collaborative and human process, one that can hold space for both moments of lightness and laughter, as well as having difficult honest conversations that delve into deeper inward exploration and outward growth.

Throughout his clinical experience, he has supported individuals presenting with mood and anxiety disorders, behavioural issues, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), anger and emotional regulation difficulties, relationship and adjustment concerns, stress-related issues, and matters related to identity and sexuality – having a special clinical interest in working with issues related to men’s psychological well-being. He values the richness that each client brings to the therapeutic space and regards therapy as a reciprocal process of learning and understanding.

Beyond the therapy room, Bryan finds grounding in nature, often spending time in local parks or on the swings, while enjoying dreampop music and reading poetry. These moments of stillness and creativity reflect his appreciation for reflection, emotional depth, and the quieter dimensions of human experience.
